Account Executive, Advertising Agencies
The ideal candidate for this position will be a high-energy Sales professional who has pre-existing relationships with media agencies buying leads for their B2B IT clients, as well as excels at finding and recognizing net new agency client opportunities and converting them into long-term and happy customers. We’re looking for someone who is hungry to win new business in a hyper-competitive landscape, while maximizing client lifetime value by facilitating and fostering long-term, multi-year partnerships. This position is a strategic driver of growth for BlueWhale with B2B media agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Be a self-starter with a proven track record of successfully generating business from media agencies and cross-selling / up-selling additional solutions
- Possess a proven track record of true client growth and partnership over a sustained period of time
- Establish a trusted advisor relationship with top tier media agencies by ensuring successful delivery of their required outcomes via efficient customer onboarding, product implementation, campaign analysis and performance optimization
- Forge strong relationships with clients to reinforce your role as a trusted partner
- Execute on Sales responsibilities with minimal need for oversight or assistance
- Anticipate client needs, proactively offer recommendations, and offer the elevated level of responsiveness and follow-up expected of superior client support
- Work with clients to define and achieve critical goals and other key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Troubleshoot and resolve client needs independently and action accordingly
- Act as a client consultant focused on increasing product adoption while improving customer retention and satisfaction
- Identify and nurture account expansion opportunities
- Partner with various internal stakeholders to advocate for customer needs
- Travel as needed, to meet with clients and prospects
Qualifications and requirements:
- 5-7 years of quota carrying sales experience with a demonstrable track record of over-achievement
- 3+ years selling into B2B Media Agencies
- Familiarity with B2B lead generation, Account Based Marketing, etc.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of Salesforce CRM, and other standard software applications and tools
- Experience accurately forecasting monthly, quarterly and annual sales projections
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Superior attention to detail while overseeing multiple accounts and looking for new opportunities
